2020 Residents @ Happy Tails

IMG_8721.jpg

I'm Billy

Received from another rehabber...Billy has not been growing tall like his adopted siblings...his short statute has not limited his ability to run, frolic and give us kisses during potty time. We will likely need to build him a  special bottle rack he can reach if he doesnt hit a growth spurt soon!

I'm Dilly

Received from another rehabber...Dilly was rescued the day prior to intake here at Happy Tails. He went from being super stubborn to one of our sweet as pie residents! Dilly and Billy were pack-n-play roommates for a week and still share a special bond!

I'm Sunny

Sunny was brought to us by an officer who received this pretty lady from another officer who volunteered to help find her some help.  She was found in the Sun City neighborhood and was severely dehydrated at intake. Sunny, playfully named after where she was found, has lived up to her name. She is always shaking her tail and is as happy as a fawn can be!

I'm Levi

Levi, named after his finders grandson, was found alone and in distress in some kind peoples yard. They took wonderful care of him until we were able to come pick him up! They already had him taking a bottle which was a happy surprise as fawns can be awful stubborn at times learning.

I'm Finn

Finn, and his sister Hope, were alone for almost 36 hours in some folks yard. They watched from inside and their mother never came back and they gave us a call. Sure enough they were both severely dehydrated and needed subq fluids. Finn has bounced back so well and enjoys being outside with his brothers and sisters from another mother!

I'm Hope

Hope, unlike her brother, had some challenges during the first week at Happy Tails. Her body temp had dropped to 98.3 (normal body temp is 101-103) but with a lot of burrito wrapped snuggles in the heating pad and various medication she has miraculously bounced back!! Hope truly is a fighter and she is a perfect example of what keeps us motivated to do what we do!

I'm Adira

Adira was observed by some kind people being chased by a dog across the lake. This sweet girl jumped into the lake and swam across to these folks yard who then proceeded to call us. She had some wounds on her head but she has been healing up quite nicely! She was named for its meaning, "Strong" and we also loved the fact you pronounce it "ad-DEER-ah"!

I'm Fallston-Logan

This itty bitty buck was found by some folks nearby a deceased doe. He was dehydrated on intake but overall in good health. He has taken to a bottle very swiftly and despite his small size is probably the most spirited of all our fawns!

I'm Nickie

Named after one of DNR Officer's who helped rescue this sweet girl (Office Nick), she was in great health at intake. She had been living at someone's residents as a pet which is against SC laws. We are unsure as to how that family came to acquire Nicki. She will get a chance to grow up with the rest of the Happy Tails fawns and run free this fall!

Bunny Family

Our sister found a nest of bunnies in her yard that was infested with ants. So much so that they were crawling out of their little mouths. So far they have been eating well and we are very hopefully for these guys to bounce back!
